Our manifesto

What we are inspired by

We are grateful to be among people imagining new ways — and safeguarding old ways — to make change collectively, sustainably, and without abandoning our own delight, pleasure and wellbeing. We pay our respects to indigenous and permacultural ways of relating. We appreciate the reciprocity of ecosystems, and our place within them.

We marvel at mycelia, starlings and forests. We are guided by storytellers, peacemakers, artists and visionaries of better worlds.

Special gratitude to teachers, thinkers, and artists important to us include: Dan Glass, Deepa Iyer, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Mary Oliver, Akala, Paulo Freire, Jay Griffiths, Emma Dabiri, Katherine May, Parker Palmer, Ursula K. Le Guin, Joanna Macy, Bayard Rustin, bell hooks, Simon Barnes, Olivia Laing, Becky Chambers, adrienne maree brown, Rebecca Solnit, Ruthanna Emrys, Krista Tippett, and so many more.
